The primary objective involves strategically shading certain squares on a grid. A key rule is that no two shaded squares can be adjacent to one another, ensuring a level of complexity in the decision-making process. Furthermore, all unshaded squares must form a single contiguous region, which means that any two unshaded squares should be connected via a path through adjacent unshaded squares.
Clue squares, indicated by a number and an arrow, can also be either shaded or unshaded. When a clue square remains unshaded, the number provides a clear directive, indicating how many shaded squares the arrow points to. However, in the case of a shaded clue, it becomes ambiguous and does not furnish any useful information; it could either be correct or incorrect.
This blend of logic and strategy renders Yajisan-Kazusan a thought-provoking choice for puzzle enthusiasts.
